Keith Dye - Executive Director
Keith G. Dye is Associate Professor of Music Education and Assistant Director of Bands. He holds degrees from Morningside College, Sioux City, IA, West Texas State University, Canyon, TX, and the Ed.D. in College Teaching of Music from Teachers College, Columbia University, New York, NY. Dr. Dye's primary areas of research interest are the effective use of desktop videoconferencing and pre-service music educator preparation.
At Texas Tech University Dye teaches classes in Band Techniques of Instruction, Curriculum, and Music Education; as well as serving as a conductor of the Concert Band and assisting with athletic bands. In addition, he is Executive Director of the Texas Tech Band and Orchestra Camp and the Texas Tech Middle School Band Academy.
Dr Dye was formerly holder of the Baenziger Professorship in Music, department chair and director of bands at Texas Lutheran University where, in addition to these primary responsibilities, Dr. Dye taught classes in instrumental music education, conducting, and music technology. He also served as director of the TLU Summer Music Academy. Formerly a public school director, he has more than 25 years of successful experience with groups on all levels of instruction.
Dr. Dye's ensembles have earned numerous awards and a reputation for a consistently high level of musical excellence. He has presented clinics on instrumental music education techniques and strategies at state conventions and served as conductor of various regional and all-state ensembles. Most notably, the Texas Lutheran University Symphonic Winds was invited to perform a featured concert at the 2003 Texas Music Educators Association Convention, marking the first time a small Texas University was awarded that honor.
As a conductor, clinician, and adjudicator, Dr. Dye is in demand as a qualified music educator equally at ease with any age level.
Dru Barecky - Historian
Mrs. Dru Barecky has been employed with Director's Choice Tour & Travel for three years. Prior to this job, she was a principal's secretary for 15 years with the Lubbock Independent School District. In high school, she played a French Horn and after graduation, she toured with "Continental Singers", a Christian singing group, playing the French Horn for three months traveling throughout the United States and the Caribbean Islands. In college, she had the honor of marching with the Texas Tech "Goin' Band from Raiderland". Dru has three children, Mike, 27, Melaney, 25, and Monica, 22. In her spare time, she also enjoys going to Dallas to visit with her 8 year old granddaughter, Kaitlyn.
Terri Bryan - Historian
Terri Byan attended Texas Tech University where she studied Merchandising and Marketing. Along with raising her three children, she ran her own business for twenty years and also served as a volunteer and fundraising chairman for various school organizations. Terri’s husband Brad has been an engineer for BNSF Railroad for thirty years. Her daughter Sommer works in banking, her son Brandon is a Finance major at Texas Tech University, and her son David works with video editing for extreme sports. Terri currently works as a customer representative for Director’s Choice.
Jill Odorizzi - Director of Finance
Jill Odorizzi is a native Lubbockite and Texan. She played the trombone for 6 years and was a member of her high school colorguard. She received her bachelors degree, graduating magna cum laude, and masters degree from Texas Tech University in finance . Jill began working for Director's Choice in 1999, beginning as a student assistant to pay her way through college, and eventually came on full-time in August of 2004, as the Director of Finance. She and her husband, Jeff, have recently bought an older home and they enjoy spending their free time remodeling and playing with their dogs, Lucy and Harper. She loves her job because of the wonderful people she works with and the opportunity it gives her to combine her expertise in finance with travel.
Tom Sepper - Director of Information Technology
Tom Sepper is the Director of Information Technology for Director's Choice. He has been with DC for over four years. Mr. Sepper graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management in 2002. While at Texas Tech, he was a member of the Goin' Band From Raiderland marching band, the Court Jesters basketball band, and various concert bands. Mr. Sepper is a member of Kappa Kappa Psi.
Tom and his wife Monica have a five year old cocker spaniel named Wrigley, after Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Allison Turner - Secretary
Allison was born and raised in Louisiana. Her family moved to Texas, where she graduated from Kingwood High School in 1992. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1995. While at Texas Tech, she performed as a member of the Symphonic Band under the direction of James Sudduth, the Symphony Orchestra, and the Goin’ Band. In 1992, Allison was selected to perform with the National Flute Association National Flute Choir in Los Angeles, CA. She enjoys playing flute, traveling, spending time with family and friends, reading, and playing with her dog.
Allison is currently a Senior Customer Representative for Director’s Choice in Lubbock, TX. Previously, she was a Band Director for 7 years in the San Antonio and Hill Country areas where her bands were consistent UIL and Festival Sweepstakes winners. She has been a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, National Flute Association, and Goin’ Band Alumni Association.
